We are pleased to announce that the PLANit Conference 2026 will take place at the Planetarium of Ravenna from April 9 to 11, 2026. The official invitation for planetarium vendors and fulldome content producers is now available, including detailed information on the three sponsorship levels.

A new schedule for the 2026 edition

Unlike previous years, the event will follow a Thursday afternoon to Saturday evening format, instead of the traditional Friday–Sunday structure. The Thursday afternoon will feature pre-meeting activities, while the main conference program will run over two full days, Friday and Saturday, concluding with the social dinner on Saturday evening.

This new structure has been introduced because Sundays typically saw lower attendance and were often used only for half-day activities. The revised format offers an additional half-day of meeting time, while keeping Sunday free for travel or personal plans.

Ravenna: a meaningful return

Ravenna has been selected for a special reason: 2026 marks the 40th anniversary of the very first PLANit meeting, which took place in the same city in 1986. Returning to Ravenna offers a symbolic and meaningful way to celebrate this milestone in the association’s history.
