We are pleased to announce that the 42nd PLANit Conference will take place in Reggio Calabria, Southern Italy, from April 8 to 10, 2027. The official invitation for planetarium vendors and fulldome content producers is now available, including detailed information on the three sponsorship levels.

The 2027 edition in Reggio Calabria

This year’s conference will be hosted in collaboration with the Metropolitan Planetarium “Pythagoras”, which features an 8-meter dome with 60 seats and a 1.2K digital fulldome projection system alongside its opto-mechanical projector.

Conference sessions and the vendor exhibition area will take place either at the planetarium or at Palazzo Alvaro, in the city center. The final venue will be confirmed closer to the event.

Continuing the Thursday–Saturday format

Following the format introduced in 2026, the conference will run from Thursday afternoon to Saturday evening. Thursday will feature optional pre-meeting activities, while the main conference program will take place on Friday and Saturday, concluding with the social dinner on Saturday evening.

This schedule provides two full days of conference activities while keeping Sunday free for travel or personal plans.

Sponsorship and participation

We invite planetarium technology vendors and fulldome content producers to participate in the conference and connect with the Italian planetarium community.

Three sponsorship levels are available, offering different opportunities for visibility, presentations, and participation in the event.

Interested companies are invited to download the official invitation document (PDF) and submit their sponsorship requests by January 31, 2027.

We look forward to welcoming you to Reggio Calabria!
